Created in 2011 by Guillermo Pino, through the production company Smilehood, which was distributed by Disney Junior LATAM, Discovery and Netflix. Today, it reaches millions of families around the world, via YouTube.

Additionally, the series came to life in the format of theater. It first aired 10 years ago in the Metropolitan Theater of Buenos Aires, and continued to appear for more than ten years, almost uninterruptedly, in Calle Corrientes, Buenos Aires. And, for some years now, has expanded around the country and to Chile, Uruguay, Panamá, México, Perú, Ecuador, República Dominicana, and more.
“Our goal for every Plim Plim show is that it respects the essence of the project. As well as having a good time, singing and enjoying, we want to transmit values and positive habits. We see it as planting a seed of light in children’s minds. We attend with Plim Plim and all the other characters. It’s a show that has lots of interaction with the public and we are really happy to visit,” Guillermo tells “El país” from Uruguay.

For more than ten years Plim Plim has been on YouTube, where it started by freely uploading episodes and now has a weekly production of popular new songs and educational content.
Thanks to the great quality of its content, it has quickly grown on YouTube, its numbers are some of the highest in every Latam channel:

Together with the ONG Pupi, Plim Plim participated in various charity matches, one highlight being the one organized by Maxi Rodríguez and Javier Zanetti in the Newell’s Rosario field, Buenos Aires. Amongst the players and other known figures, those who stood out were: Ariel Burrito Ortega, Walter Samuel, Javier Mascherano, Gabriel Milito, Ever Banega and Facundo Ferreyra Also the singers Axel and Coti, the comedian Pablo Granados ex rugby player, Felipe Contepomi and actor Cristian Sancho.

From social media, Plim Plim shares content useful to families with videos and engagement to offer entertainment at home. Its most popular contents are birthday celebrations, fans all over the world send pictures of their Plim Plim themed birthday parties.
Through an agreement with Social Team of the Messi foundation, shows with Plim Plim were held in different centers:
In the year 2015, Plim Plim was part of the Match for peace in Rome, a representative event that supported cultural diversity, encouraged by Pope Francis, where players and coaches from various countries participated. Plim Plim also visited the BambinoGesù pediatric hospital, which belongs to the Holy See.
The P.U.P.I foundation and Scholas Occurrentes participated in this event together and their objective was to sign a peace manifest with all those participating and the fundraising.
Some celebrities that made the “Interreligious match for peace” possible were, Diego Armando Maradona, Javier Zanetti, Francesco Totti, Ronaldinho, Del Piero, Gianluiggi Buffon, Paolo Maldini, Andrea Pirlo, Diego Simeone, Javier Mascherano, Roberto Baggio, Samuel Etoo, David Trezeguet, Robert Pires, Carlos Valderrama y Andriy Shevchenko.
The money raised by the tickets sold was given to fundraise both foundations.
In September of 2023, Plim Plim launched its own television channel where its animated content is shared 24/7 to all Latin America.
